The Twiddler keyboard is designed to do all the work of a standard computer keyboard plus a lot more. Using different combinations of the Twiddler's nineteen keys, over 2,000 different key chords can be created in a single configuration file.

On a piano keyboard you can play a single note by striking one key or play a chord by playing a number of keys at the same time. The Twiddler works in a similar way. You can type a character or command with a single key or with a combination of keys called a chord. Using various single keystrokes, or chords, you can type all the letters, characters, symbols and commands found on a standard keyboard. In fact, the Twiddler actually offers you over two thousand different programmable chords. And, since most of these key combinations are not preset at the factory, you can customize your Twiddler by making your own assignments to these chords. You can cycle through 3 different configuration files on the Twiddler, instantly remapping the keys. This gives you access to over 6,000 different chords.

The Twiddler uses the Optical Finger Navigation (OFN) Touchpad that simulates a computer mouse. The technology behind our touchpad allows responsive and high precision tracking that senses and responds to the movement of your thumb - allowing finer and more accurate movement of your cursor.

Mouse clicks are accomplished two ways. There are 3 buttons on the front face of the Twiddler placed just above the keyboard keys. From the factory, they are mapped as Right, Middle and Left Click and operate just as they do on a standard mouse. You can also click (push down) the Touch Pad for a left or right click. In Twiddler Tuner, you can assign any of these three button action to the Touch Pad.

The Mouse has 3 modes: Mouse mode, Scroll Wheel, and Arrow Key mode. These modes can be selected by using the T14F0R chord. A green LED will light up to show which mode you are in. Tapping the T14F0R chord again will change to the next Mouse Mode and the LED will progress to the right.

Mouse Mode acts just like a mouse. Just swipe over the Touchpad in the direction you would like the mouse to move.

Scroll Wheel mode limits the input sensing to UP and DOWN - just like a scroll wheel on a mouse.

Arrow Key mode sends arrow key codes to your host based on the direction you are moving your thumb across the Touchpad.
