Feature still under development
Untethered Re-Cording mode was introduced in Version 12 of the Twiddler Firmware. In this mode, the Twiddler can run hostless and will record every HID code to an on-board data file. It acts as a Datalogger.
When recording, the Twiddler saves the keystrokes, in HID format, in a .log file on the Twiddler. The naming corresponds to the config file you were using at the time. Example: You are using 1.cfg and start Untethered Mode. The datafile will be 1.log.
To retrieve the recorded data:
The Twiddler will play back the data as quickly as the connection supports.
There are utilities available, like Trout for Linux, that will directly read and parse the datafile from the command line.
You MUST exit untethered mode before the device times out. Failure to do so will cause loss of data and may corrupt the FAT file system.
