===== Untethered Re-Chording Mode ===== //**Feature still under development**// Untethered Re-Chording mode was introduced in [[twiddler_firmware|Version 12]] of the Twiddler Firmware. In this mode, the Twiddler can run hostless and will record every HID code to an on-board data file. It acts as a Datalogger. Use tuner to enable this mode and assign its functions to your preferred key chord. When recording, the Twiddler saves the keystrokes, in HID format, in a .log file on the Twiddler. The naming corresponds to the config file you were using at the time. Example: You are using 1.cfg and start Untethered Mode. The datafile will be 1.log. To retrieve the recorded data: - Connect to a host - Make sure you are using the config file you used to record the data - Open a notepad or word processor on your host - press the chord to playback the data on your host The Twiddler will play back the data as quickly as the connection supports. There are utilities available, like [[https://github.com/CoohLand/Trout|Trout]] for Linux, that will directly read and parse the datafile from the command line.
